Tool inputs and results
Tools by Leaf does not offer user accounts. Some tools accept information that may be personal or sensitive, including financial, health, or text data. Calculations run in your browser: the inputs and results are not sent anywhere, saved by the site, or included in any analytics — now, or if analytics are ever added.
Text utilities with a Copy button write the displayed result to your device's clipboard only after you choose that button. They do not read from your clipboard.
One thing does appear in the address bar. When you search or filter on theAll tools page, what you typed is added to the web address as ?q= so the filtered view can be bookmarked or shared. That means a search term is visible in the address bar and kept in your browser history. Calculator inputs never work this way — they stay on the page.
Browser storage
If you choose light or dark mode, the site stores that preference in your browser's local storage so it can use the same theme on your next visit. The preference is one word — light or dark — and never leaves your device. You can remove it by clearing this site's stored data in your browser. Tool inputs, results, and browsing history are not stored there.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Tools by Leaf does not currently set cookies or use a third-party analytics or advertising service. If that changes, this page will be updated to describe what is collected and why before the service is enabled.
Hosting
Tools by Leaf is served as a static site through a third-party hosting provider. Like virtually all web hosts, that provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address and request details) as part of standard web server operation.
Links to other websites
Some guides and checklists link to other websites — usually a government agency, a standards body, or a manufacturer — so you can check a claim at its source. Following one of those links takes you off Tools by Leaf. The page you land on is run by someone else, and its privacy policy and terms apply there instead of this one.
Opening a link is a request your browser makes to that site, so the site can see your IP address and information your browser sends, such as the browser and device you are using. It is also told which site you came from: Tools by Leaf asks browsers to send only the addresshttps://toolsbyleaf.com and not the particular page you were reading, but that is a request to your browser rather than something this site can enforce, and the destination controls what it does with it.
Tools by Leaf has no control over other websites and cannot make promises about them. Their content can change or move, and a link is not an endorsement of the organisation, its products, or anything else it publishes — it points at a specific piece of information that supports a specific statement.
These are ordinary links. They carry no tracking or affiliate codes, and nothing about you is attached to them. Tools by Leaf earns nothing when you follow one and cannot tell that you did. Links open in the same tab, so your browser's Back button returns you here.
