Formula
Percentage equals correct answers divided by total questions, multiplied by 100. Incorrect answers equal total questions minus correct answers.
The letter grade uses the unrounded percentage, so display rounding never changes the letter. The displayed percentage is rounded to two decimal places, so it can read as though it sits on the other side of a threshold: 59,999 correct out of 100,000 is 59.999 percent, which displays as 60 percent while the letter is correctly F. When a score is that close to a boundary, compare the letter, not the rounded percentage.
